Prepare yourself for the most amazing bar you’ve ever tasted.
My Mom is a genius and created these strawberry rhubarb bars using an amazing sauce she uses in pies and as topping.
They are sweet and crunchy, but also a little tart and they practically melt in your mouth!
I have been meaning to post something using rhubarb and realize that I am a little late in the season…but better late than never, right?
The chaos of spring/summer has arrived!
I am sad to admit, but feel I have to be honest with you, that my blog posts may not appear as often as they have been or as much as I would like them to.
It won’t be like that forever, just for a couple months.
Weddings, showers, bachelorette parties, birthdays, vacations, weekend trips up north, new babies (not mine), moving/buying a house (hopefully) and SO MANY other exciting things are in our very near future.
But, lets not get too ahead of ourselves.
Lets talk about this amazing coconut cake.
Marshmallows, graham crackers, white chocolate, yellow cake mix…
Am I speaking your language?
My language primarily consists of things like marshmallows and graham crackers…closely followed by, I’m going to kill the cat…did you remember to record that?…I don’t know, I need coffee first…
Mikey speaks my language…
Chances are if you read this blog, your language includes white chocolate and yellow cake too.
This is a simple recipe.
Which deserves a simple post.
We are talking major childhood (adulthood) favorite here!
I seem to remember one of my uncles ex-girlfriends making this for us once.
My mom says it is a recipe from one of my Aunts…but I disagree.
I faintly remember this ex because after she made this rice krispie roll for us…she became my favorite.
Feed me dessert and I will love you forever.
