This is a simple recipe.
Which deserves a simple post.
We are talking major childhood (adulthood) favorite here!
I seem to remember one of my uncles ex-girlfriends making this for us once.
My mom says it is a recipe from one of my Aunts…but I disagree.
I faintly remember this ex because after she made this rice krispie roll for us…she became my favorite.
Feed me dessert and I will love you forever.
It does not matter where this recipe came from.
Probably the back of a Rice Krispie cereal box.
It’s that easy.
Who cares where we found this recipe…what matters is that we love it and now YOU need to make it either tonight, tomorrow or this weekend. It takes about 20 minutes and you can do it all in your microwave if you want!
This thing is scary good. You might accidentally eat half of it.
No judgement here.
Just follow these steps below!
Wow, that is a giant cat face.
Continuing on…
Not to be confused with the worlds largest Chipotle burrito…
Make it.
Slice it.
Share it.
Consume it.
Recipe: Rice Krispie Roll
Ingredients:
1 Stick Butter, divided and softened
2, 10oz Bags Large Marshmallows
6 Cups Rice Krispies
1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
12oz Semisweet Chocolate Chips
Directions:
In a large, microwaveable bowl, melt 1/4 cup butter and one bag of marshmallows (in the microwave).
Once that is completely melted, add peanut butter and stir until smooth.
Add rice krispies and stir until fully coated in marshmallow mixture.
Cover a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper and cover parchment with baking spray (you don’t want the rice krispies to stick). Press rice krispie mixture into greased pan and let cool.
In a smaller bowl, combine 1/4 cup butter, bag of chocolate chips and 13 large marshmallows. Again I used the microwave to slowly melt the chocolate in 20 second increments.
Once chocolate is melted and combined with marshmallows, spread evenly over rice krispies in pan.
Lift out of the pan by the sides of the parchment and tightly roll the sheet of rice krispies into a wheel.
It may not stay in place well, so I recommend wrapping it in the greased parchment you have left over and then wrapping that tightly in tin foil and placing it in the refrigerator until you serve it.
Slice wheel into small slices and serve!
Maybe Mikey could tatoo one of these on his stomach
Oh, please make these for Easter!
