Strawberry Rhubarb Bars

Prepare yourself for the most amazing bar you’ve ever tasted.

My Mom is a genius and created these strawberry rhubarb bars using an amazing sauce she uses in pies and as topping.

They are sweet and crunchy, but also a little tart and they practically melt in your mouth!

I have been meaning to post something using rhubarb and realize that I am a little late in the season…but better late than never, right?

Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

If you’ve been around my blog long enough you know that I am a lover of banana bread.

I have tried many different banana bread recipes, all good, but none is as delicious as my Mom’s secret banana muffin recipe…which will remain a secret for now, sorry!

BUT, you don’t have to be sad because this is a close second and it is absolutely delicious.

I love cinnamon.

Therefore, what could be better than banana bread filled with a cinnamon sugar swirl and topped off with a crunchy and melted cinnamon and sugar crust?!

Vanilla Bean Birthday Cupcakes

Yesterday was my 25th birthday and I figured we could celebrate with some cupcakes!

This is Magnolia Bakery’s vanilla cake recipe and I added some vanilla beans and a vanilla bean buttercream frosting.

My favorite cupcake is always red velvet, which I had for breakfast this morning since my fabulous friends brought me a variety box from the amazing Molly’s Cupcakes yesterday.  But my favorite cake is a simple white on white.
