Since it is still too hot to bake, let alone do anything, I went with a no bake dessert.
Salty and sweet.
Chocolate and Peanut butter.
In my opinion, there is no better combo.
These bars are a love child of Scotch-A-Roos and those no-bake oatmeal cookies.
All you need are pretzels, butter, powdered sugar, peanut butter and chocolate chips. Things you probably have in your pantry right now.
The only negative about this dessert and the hot weather is that they can melt rather quickly.
I recommend you refrigerate right up until you serve them.
Can you believe June is gone and we are already celebrating the 4th of July?
I love summer and I love July the MOST.
Not just because my birthday is in July…I love the fact that the sun is out until after 9pm.
I love that when I’m cold I can go stand outside and instantly be warm.
I’m obsessed with all the fresh fruits and vegetables and my garden that doesn’t seem to grow…
I hope you are enjoying your summer so far!

Happy 4th! Be safe and good luck staying cool!

These look lovely! Will be trying them soon. Hot weather not really a problem here in Scotland so they should last ok 🙂
