I hope you’ve all recovered from your long Holiday weekend!

The older I get the more days it takes to get back to a normal state of hydration and alertness. Sun + boozy cocktails makes for an exhausting Monday! But we made it through the hardest day of the week and now we can begin to look ahead to the weekend and more boozy cocktails!

I created this drink on one of the hot days (it’s now freezing cold and rainy) we had last week and it was so refreshing to sip while we grilled burgers. I don’t typically make drinks during the week (because I’m lazy and it’s easier to open a beer or bottle of wine) but when I do I feel pretty fancy.

Mikey doesn’t stray too far from his usual Manhattan but I am proud to say he ended up drinking most of this cocktail. This is like a rum punch but with vodka. We decided that adding pineapple to any drink makes it taste like summer exploded in a glass.

This would be a perfect drink to fill in a pitcher and take down to the beach, or serve at a BBQ. As you can see I am still on my cherry kick and I can’t stop eating (and drinking) them.

In between teaching yoga we have 2 engagement parties and a Birthday celebration for yours truly! I am so excited and can’t wait to celebrate with all of my friends!
