Sorry it has been so long since I put up a post.
I have been so so so so busy. Which is great, because it means I’m having a super awesome summer.
But it is bad because I can’t bake and cook as often as I would like.
And that makes Mikey sad.
He loves when I cook for him. And sometimes I don’t want to and he has to eat really bad/frozen things.
I’m going to cook something delicious tonight. And hopefully bake too…but this LAME Chicago weather makes me want to curl up on the couch all night…
But for now, I will share this recipe with you.
It’s the easiest.
But, Mikey loves it.
And I wanted to make him smile.
So I made it for him. And he was happy about that.
The easiest part of this salad is that you buy a bag O’ slaw. Easy.
Then you chop up some green onion.
Add in some sunflower seeds.
And two packages of Ramen. MMMmmmmm college.
Then you throw it all together in a bowl.
After you toss that, you are going to make a dressing.
Combine all this…
And there you have it.
An easy and delicious salad.
It may not be the most impressive…
Actually….it might be the most common potluck/picnic salad of all time…
But it is comforting and brings back many childhood memories of family and friends…and sometimes that is what we crave most!
Recipe: Oriental Salad
1 bag (12 Oz. Size) Broccoli Slaw
5 stalks Green Onion (chopped)
½ cups Sunflower Seed Kernels
2 package Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodles, Reserve The Seasoning Packet For The Dressing
Dressing:
2 Tablespoons Sugar
3 Tablespoons Rice Wine Vinegar
⅓ cups Olive Oil
1/2 teaspoons Soy Sauce
1 to 1 1/2 packages Seasoning Mix In Ramen Noodles
Salt And Pepper, to taste
Directions:
Combine the broccoli slaw (the one with the carrots and red cabbage), chopped green onions, sunflower kernels and crumbled Ramen noodles in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl combine the sugar, vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, seasoning packet from the ramen noodles and salt and pepper to taste.
Pour the dressing on the salad right before serving and toss to mix.
B- This is awesome 🙂 I’m am going to try making this asap! Thanks for sharing 🙂
